HISTORY

Continental Machine Tool Co., Inc was founded by Ted Malkowski in 1974 with one manual lathe and a strong desire to delight the customer. In 1978 Continental Machine Tool took a great leap of faith and purchased one of the first CNC lathes in New England. This new technology set the stage for steady growth over the next 40 years. Continental Machine Tool Co., Inc became a sought-after supplier and in 1980 purchased a 24,000 square foot building to set the foundation for the headquarters of the company today. Over the next 30 years, Continental acquired 2 more buildings and 55,000 square feet of manufacturing space adjacent to the first building. Today we have over 150 CNC machines and a talented workforce available to manufacture and deliver our customer's requirements.
